:: 5 days for 2 x 8000

Mountains above Baltoro glacier1 impressed me already on the way to Broad Peak 2 base camp. There are so many beautiful peaks all around: Trango Tower, Mustagh Tower, Gasherbrum 4... And K2, of course... We were slow at the beginning. There was a lot of deep snow 3 on the mountain. Then weather and conditions improved, and most of expedition members reached the top. View from 8047 m 4 down to the Baltoro glacier was beautiful...

But this was not the end of expedition. Four members 5 of our team: Bogdan Biscak, Viki Groselj, Andrej Stremfelj and me moved to Gasherbrum II 6 base camp immediately after decending from Broad Peak. We climbed the mountain 7 in alpine style, 27 hours from base camp to the top 8 . Our descent was running down the mountain to get away from bad weather - the storm 9 that caused the 1986 K2 tragedy. Hot springs 10 on return were very welcome...
