:: Slovenian Alps and Paklenica
I was born in a small valley 1
above the village Polhov Gradec, close to Ljubljana. Rocks
above my home 2
were the first mountains where I climbed. When I was twenty
I moved to Ljubljana where I'm living now with Nada and Ana
Karin 3 .
My first experience in the Alps was Slovenian route in the
north face of Triglav 4 .
As a student 5
I spent more time in the walls than at university. I looked
for new routes in Slovenian Alps 6 ,7
where
there was still a lot of space... Winter climbing 8
was a different and hard story, but also the valuable experience
for Himalaya and other mountains. And Paklenica 9
was the right place to stay fit for rock climbing 10 ...
Italian Dolomites are close to Slovenia and soon I found the
way there. Pala, Civetta, Sella and especially Brenta 11
were places where I discovered Dolomites. And from there it
is not far to French Alps. I was not there many times, but
enough to climb some nice routes 12 .
